I retract my prior analysis...if THIS is McCain, we'll eat him for breakfast.

1. I won't even watch - but I'm glad that both Hillary and Obama have a good
sense of humor. Couldn't stand listening to another 8 years of lame jokes, regardless of how well s/he was running the country.

6. It's worth watching for the dead silence that greets each of his terrible jokes =)
He can't work a crowd like Bush could.

convinced with vote for McCain, i don't think so, in every poll i've seen about the war the independents are firmly against it, no way will they vote for someone who is willing to stay in Iraq for another "!00 years". no uh, no sale.

12. If McCain is the nominee, all we need to do to win is to run that quote nonstop.
Make it the focus of our campaign ads.
McCain would be fucked.

5. I'm in the distinct minority here
but I think McCain is the easiest one to beat.

Romney is an unknown, and I don't ever underestimate the power of his church.

Huckabee is extremely likeable and warm, despite his policies and views.

We beat McCain in '96 - McCain is just Dole all over again.

16. I join you in that minority.
McCain is hated among extreme right wing conservatives down here in the south. They like Mitten because he's right wing enough for them. Most don't even know who Huckabee is.

a strong opponent. Maybe he was better when he was younger?

15. Because of supposed 'mainstream' appeal.
It's because the media pushes that 'maverick senator' image, and that 'straight talk express' bullshit.
Unfortunately, years of kissing Bush's dirty ass has marred the 'maverick' image.

that of the 'maverick senator driving the straight talk express'
