Regardless, these two longtime Senators have done more for the American people in their careers overall than most politicians *ever* have. Ok, you don't like who they endorsed, but come the fuck on. All of a sudden, GDP hates MA Senators. Seriously :wtf:

Maybe some of you don't remember past decades...But I am proud of my Senators, and I would continue to be regardless of who they endorsed.

Let's show some respect.

:hi:

1. Nothing would have happened at all
if it weren't for Kennedy & Kerry. I can't believe the people cheering the DLC over great liberals like Kennedy & Kerry.

5. I'm just disgusted...
Seriously, if they had endorsed HRC, I wouldn't have raised this level of hate against them, even though I don't support her. It's shameful.

110. Seriously. I would have been bummed, but not angry at them.
I haven't been angry about a single endorsement HRC has received - to the point where I want to degrade them.

Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 10:10 PM by karynnj
as many people do - the Clinton's control their endorsements as well. Kerry did NOT slam HRC, he endorsed Obama. He praised her and Edwards.

Senator Menendez and Governor Corzine - from my state both endorsed HRC. Although I worked for both their elections, I simply thought that was their privilege. How are their endorsements different than Kerry'a and Kennedy's?

116. You have GOT to be kidding. Where have you been?

Clintons were backstabbing Kerry during his entire primary and general in 2003-4:
http://www.depauw.edu/news/index.asp?id=13354

Bill used his 3wk summer2004 book tour appearances to confirm his support of Bush's decisions on terrorism and Iraq war and 'defend' Bush from criticisms of the left:
http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/19/clinton.iraq/

Then Carville screwed over Ohio voters and Kerry on election night:
http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/oct/07/did_carville_tip_bush_off_to_kerry_strategy_woodward

Then Hillary pops up and sides with Bush over Kerry in 2006:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk1k0nUWEQg

And you want to pretend that Kerry isn't fair? Sheesh - he's as fair as a person can get. I would have been urging him to really let loose and tell what he knows about the Clintons - PUBLICLY.

22. Bill slam-dunked HIS OWN INTEGRITY. You're pissed that Kerry noticed and said so.
BTW - There would be no President Bill Clinton in 1993 if it hadn't been for SENATOR KERRY uncovering IranContra and BCCI which kept STEADY BAD HEADLINES in the media all through 1992 and straight through to election day.

Ever think about THAT, sunshine?

62. Hatfield's & McCoy's A La Washington D.C. Style! It Has Done MORE
to fracture the Democratic Party than most even realize! Both Clinton & Obama KNOW what is being done, and BOTH won't STOP it!

As for me... I didn't think I COULD lose anymore respect for what has been happening to the Democrats! I thought the worst thing were the DLC'ers, but NOW I see it RUNS RAMPANT!! No wonder NOTHING gets done!

All a bunch of kids and don't even acknowledge it!! THE worst part though... THESE KIDS are playing with OUR COUNTRY!!

Most are riding around on a bicycle with SQUARE wheels!

Here's a quote from the Roman Poet Juvenal: "The people that once bestowed commands, consulships, legions, and all else, now concerns itself no more, and longs eagerly for just two things -- bread and circuses!! BREAD and CIRCUSES! Very appropriate to me!!

This is what this country has become... the fodder for insatiable curiosity and Media driven hype!!

68. It is their decision, BUT, I think it is wrong
to slam them as if they had never had any effect on the course of national politics and to write them off forever b/c of this one endorsement. IF they had endorsed Hillary, I wouldn't slam them, ever. I respect their feelings and have much respect for them, regardless. And all should do the same. Calm down people.

79. I love Kerry. But he has crossed the line - I will NOT attack his record, but he
has disappointed me. Even though you support Obama, I think you can see that Kerry's anti-Clinton rhetoric was as damaging to the party as what you are complaining about here.

82. It goes both ways though...
I think both sides are damaging the party in their own ways...And I'm not surprised, it's a non-incumbent election, things are bound to get shaken up. And I'm ok with that on both sides of the Dem debate. It's not a bad thing. We need some f'n healthy debate, not all kumbaya...BUT, I think we can disagree without tearing down 2 men who have dedicated their lives to service and who have served well. Your mileage may vary. :)

106. Kerry has simply answers questions on Clinton's slams
against Obama. Clinton lied on Obama's position on Iraq saying he said he was "close to Bush" in 2004.

I have seen General Clark speak in Clintons favor - and against Obama. I still think the same of Clark - he was an excellent advocate for Kerry and he is now one for HRC.

Bill Clinton has attacked Obama is ways that are dishonest - Give me an example where Kerry has attacked HRC dishonestly - he hasn't. Why are they held to different standards?

I almost wish that we still had our March primary, it could mean SO much more.

There is no clear winner tonight, as far as I can see, and I love it! I just wish a few more Dems were still in it, to make it even more competitive.

I'm glad that we agree on this, and that you don't have me on ignore. I know that you have had bad feelings towards me in the past, and I'm sorry for that, since we used to get along. :pals:

I have enormously high regard for both of them, especially for Senator Kennedy. The glee with which some people greeted the news of Clinton winning MA, by kicking Kerry and Kennedy, pisses me off. It's as if they are writing off each and every thing those two men have ever done for the Democratic party.
