Obama supporters: post your feelings tonight with how it's going |
|
I think it's been a great night so far. He won two toss up states in the NE: Delaware and CT. He is keeping NJ at less than double-digits. I'm a bit disappointed by MA but then I remember by how much HRC was leading.
In the MW he is winning big in Illinois (lots of delegates), ND, KS, MN--so far he is proving to be a winner in the MW.
He won big in Alabama and Georgia. And the western states like Utah, Idaho, Colorado are looking strong!
Still some big states out and lets hope for the best, but he has already proved that he is a national candidate of all the people!

It's like the Bush-Kerry map; Clinton can win the people in bubbles in the coasts, while Obama wins the hard-fought "Red" states.

3. Georgia 30% margin of victory for Obama |
|
I was right, a black man got more votes in Georgia than any of the other candidates. I never thought I'd see the day, but what a great day it was for the Deep South.
In my county, Chatham (Savannah) the margin of victory was 78% -21%. That was the largest margin of victory in the state.
We had a wild results viewing party. now I'm gonna go pass out here in a sec. I've been working on the campaign since 6AM this morning.
Peace and Good Luck

5. I think California determines who the winner is |
|
If Obama wins, or keeps it within 5 or 6 points, then he's the winner tonight. If Hillary wins by 6 or more, then it was her night.

7. I'm very pleased-he's staying alive, and keeping it close |
|
He's pulling even on delegates, he has a passel of significant wins to point to, and the night's still not over.

It's looking good for Obama. And it's too close to call in California.

10. HRC will claim some momentum |
|
But overall I think he's doing well enough to stay in the race, keep the cash coming in, and still has the potential of winning the nom.

I think he is kicking serious ass. He is doing better than I thought he would do by far.
He is running up the score in a lot of states he is winning and keeping it close enough to stay close in delegates. He is showing that he is able to play in red states. He is showing that he is able to build a winning coalition.
I was surprised about CT, but I think he is probably going to lose MO, which I thought he might take. He made up a ton of ground in the last few weeks and has a higher ceiling than Hillary, quite frankly. People are going to take notice that he just took on the most powerful Democratic political machine in decades and is probably going to walk away with a draw. That, in and of itself, is a major victory. This shit is like the first Rocky movie. Just going to distance is a victory tonight.
