the caucus places were PACKED. It wouldn't surprise me if the NM Democratic Party wasn't ready for such a large flood of ballots.

The State Democratic Perty had estimated, and therefore planned for 30,000 voters. Actually, about 140,000 Dem voters have shown up. Poll hours were short (12:00-7:00), lines were enormous, locations ran out of ballots, and the upshot is that people will be voting until midnight. By rule of the State Dem party, no results will be released until the last ballot has been cast. So, stay up late, or look for us tomorrow!
