1. well...
it's pretty much a tie. And I say this as an Obama fan.

However, I expected O to get smoked, so I'm happy.

5. Yeah, but, jeez, cmon.
I mean come on (and understand I'm a supporter).

This is a tie, though he has caught up. If he keeps moving, he wins, but not yet.

Absolutely. But it's not decisive --yet. Let's see where the next chapter takes us.

17. Re: "do you not know the clintons?" --- Yes. At least sufficiently.
Call for seating of Florida delegates not altogether altruistic

I'm not supporting her (after supporting Edwards) because of tactics like the above, along with other observed campaign behavior, since the bubble burst in Iowa. I'm OK with sharpening your skills during the primary season, but less so with sharpening the knives on fellow Democrats; and I have a hard time supporting someone unable to stick to a simple pledge (as above).

And I'm supporting Obama because we *do* need to change the political dynamic in this country, and I'm willing to take the first step towards reconciliation -- noting that reconciliation does not mean reconciliation with the 25%ers, nor does it mean capitulation. We need to create a new working majority that allows us to marginalize the 25%ers, and -- in my opinion -- Hillary stands little to no chance of doing that due to her unfortunate, high disapproval ratings.

18. You don't count delegates that way
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 02:20 AM by Mistwell
Uh, that is not how delegates are counted. These are not winner take all states. Also, you're not accounting for Super Delegates.

Odds are right now that Clinton will come out with a bit more delegates by the end of the count, the way California is looking right now on a district by district and county by county level.

25. And . . .
Obama had a much stronger showing in New York (40%) then Hillary did in Illinois (33%). That shows a better level of Obama's strength in the general election.
