Edwards would have gotten well over 15% in California had he stayed in.
CNN shows him with 10% after he suspended his campaign. The Secretary of State of California shows 10.6%.

So many people broke ranks and voted for one of the other two. They were split between Hillary and Obama and many of them probably canceled each other's votes out with maybe a few more of them voting for Obama. Those who bolted probably would have made more difference had they voted for Edwards. But they're in their rights rights voting as they decided. I can respect that. I voted for Edwards.

1. Edwards would of made a big difference in all 22 races....Not won, but....
in total votes and delegates, Edwards taking away some from both the two front-runners.

Again, a big IF!

2. And your point is....what? 15% of one state would do him no good.
He apparently knew that. Sorry to see him go, but the voters spoke, and he was not chosen. Maybe he'll resurface as attorney general or something.

4. He would have had the deciding delegates in a close race.
In California you have to get 15% of the votes to claim your delegates. So many of Edwards' supporters switched away in the last days before the primary. Had Edwards waited until after February 5 to announce the suspension of his campaign, he would have had quite a few delegates to name.

5. I'm beyond sad. I voted for him, and don't care if that counts as some
form of throwing my vote away.

At this point, I don't have a dog in this fight. Either Clinton or Obama will do for me.
