Which one is Clinton really expected to win? Maybe Maine? I think it's a caucus, though. Obama could easily win 7 of the next 8 primaries.

3. Agreed. And I'm not trying to flame or anything.
But the next few primaries are states with low hispanic populations.

which is a very liberal state overall and very anti-war.

Baltimore, Prince George County. He'll win that one.

20. VA, ME, WA, and WI are opportunties for her
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 02:04 AM by jackson_dem
VA is vital since it votes next Tuesday with MD and DC and Obama should win MD and DC. MD isn't in the bag, though. The last poll it at 34-32 with Edwards at 17%. Where Edwards' support goes will be decisive but the evidence thus far is that Edwards support usually breaks heavily for Obama.

24. Does anyone have numbers on WI?
There is a lot of WI-IL crossover support when it comes to our politicians. In addition, you will see a TON of ground troops from Illinois volunteering their time to support Obama.

ME, WA, VA, I'd defer to other people.

29. Considering how high Obama was polling in other states vs Clinton
December 7 - December 9, don't you have to think that Obama is favored to win WI now?

within 100 delegates after tonight. They'll do much better than that.

muscle in at the convention?

I am hoping and praying that EDWARDS is the VP.

22. There's like no new polls in a lot of those states
There's not a lot of new polls in those states that I can find.

WA: Obama up by 13% (posted Feb 3rd)
VA: Last poll so old it's meaningless (posted Feb 12th, Clinton 49%, Obama 25%)
ME: Last poll so old it's meaningless (posted Oct 30th, Clinton 46%, Obama 10%)
MD: Last poll so old it's meaningless (posted Oct 22nd, Clinton 48%, Obama 29%)
NE: No polls
LA: No polls
DC: No polls

All those polls I found at electoral-vote.com.

I do agree though that things look up for Obama.

LA is a southern state, though Obama could be hurt by New Orleans removing so many African Americans.

Not sure what ratio of the population of DC is black/white/etc, but I think that Obama has been doing well in the cities, so things should look good for him in what's basically just a one city state.

Maryland I think has a sizeable number of blacks (according to another poster in here), and considering the huge boosts in the polls Obama has gotten since people started voting (after the last poll was taken) I think he can definitely close that gap.

Didn't the governor of Virginia endorse Obama? That'll help him close the gap there, and then all of the race conflict from a few weeks ago I would guess will hurt Clinton some there to.

Can independents vote in Maine? They've got one of the largest independent populations in the US, if they can vote in the primaries then it should be easy for Obama to at least narrow the gap some.

I have no idea how Nebraska will vote, but somehow if it's a caucus though then it'll favor Obama.
