from her big California win. Thats an important point CNN pundits were saying.

5. From who? She's maxed out at $2,300 with most of her donors....
Obama's average donor has only given $109 so far.... he has a virtual bottomless pit....she's tapped out.

16. New blood flows when a candidate shows the strength Hillary did tonight..
We haven't seen how weak Obma will become after this- Seeing neither Oprah, the Kennedys or Caroline could pull out a decisive win for him.

22. LOL.... ok......

Two weeks ago... *YOU*, among others, said this would be over by Feb 6th.

...only now... Obama won more delegates tonight. By a small margin sure... but still a win.

Hillary's campaign weakened tonight.... they needed a *BIG* win, and they got a tie.

29. HAHAHAHAHAHAH. Hillary was expected to SWEEP tonight and instead she got
forced into a draw. And Bill Clinton and Carville and McAuliffe couldn't pull her to the huge win she NEEDED. Kennedy, Kerry and Opran DID help pull Obama into a favorable position for the next round of states.

Her campaign is showing weakness at the exact same time Obama's is growing stronger.

The next goround is a set of states Obama is already strgong and he won't have to make up 20-30 points in a few weeks as he did for today.

What's Hillary gonna do to change that?

51. And it sounds like Hillary will be skipping or only lightly competing in those states...
... in a Rudy 9iu11iani "last stand" approach in just a few states. This will let Obama build much MORE momentum, and will cast Hillary as a candidate who is NOT running to be the President of ALL of the United States -- contrary to the Democratic 50-State Strategy -- and a demonstration of why she isn't best suited to help the Democrats expand to working majorities in the House and Senate.

60. That's what I've heard or read a few times...
... that Obama's expanding constituency and Hillary's shrinking, may begin to have an effect on her superdelegate count... if her uncommitted superdelegates want to attract or not alienate the growing Obama base.

Obama's got a few big hills to climb in Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvannia, but he's got the momentum.

63. Do you not understand?
People can only give $4600 to a candidate. 33% of HRCs money has come from people that have given the maximum amount. She cannot go back to them for more. They cannot decide to give her more because she won CA.

Obama, on the other hand, has been raising money from people giving less than $200. 26% of his money has come from this lower level. This allows him to go back to them for more and it allows them to give him more now that he is gaining momentum.

61. Exactly
This was one of the first things to attract me to the Obama campaign. When I saw that HRC received 33% of her money from $4600 donations and BHO has received only 10% of his money from $4600 donations I know which candidate is for the masses.

Time and turnout are the enemy of the Clinton campaign.

73. So you're saying HRC has 66% of her rich supporters to draw on for rmore
Plus all the new converts she gets daily. You just negated the meme that Hillary's going broke, but your main point is true, in that OHB has the largest grass roots support of the two.

The truth is they BOTH can still raise substantial cash, and BOTH can still count on issue advocacy groups for advertising support. Ask yourself how much more money teenagers can afford to send to Obama, and how many more businessmen and corporate donors can give to Hillary.

My point is that the financial situation is not so cut and dried as some would like us to believe.

6. I don't think so....
IMO it seems like the storyline from the media I've seen is that Obama beat expectations and won more states :). The only reason California is big for Clinton is because if she would have lost it, it would have been OVER on the Democratic side to most people...now its about even.

I just saw on NBC that privately the Clinton people ARE worried because they know the longer this goes on the longer it helps him, and they are actually having money trouble and concerned at the amount of money Obama is continuing to raise.

She goes into the next goround to states where Obama is ALREADY showing strong and he has the money advantage.

The difference in the speeches tonight was striking. Hillary was reading off a page like a schoolgirl. O'Bama was commanding, personable and extemporaneous, much like Clinton's husband.

I'm sending money to O'Bama. He really has the mojo to debate anyone and win without looking arrogant like Kerry.

Don't worry, I'm sure Clintons will try to find a way to keep government closed the way you like it, even if they have to join the Bushes' lawsuit when they sue President Obama to keep him from opening the books on BushInc.

Not to mention Clinton's refusal to declassify long sought documents in IranContra, Iraqgate and CIA drugrunning investigations.

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

Methinks many Democrats haven't a clue how much Poppy Bush and his cronies were protected throughout the 90s. How do you THINK BushInc was able to grow stronger in the 90s when they should have been jailed by end of 1994? Instead we had Dems turning over keys to Congress and Bush2 planning his 2000 campaign.

Clinton sided with secrecy and privilege of Poppy Bush instead of with the truth that would have prevented Bush2, 9-11 and soon to be war with Iran.

MO is the state code for Missouri, also.

I know the delegates count- either winner take all
or split up like here in CA.

42. I don't get how you can possibly think this
Obama made up an insane amount of ground in just a few weeks. If Super Tuesday was held next week, he'd be the odds on favorite to win, period.

States Obama won with (so far) more than 60% of the vote:

Alaska (over 70%)
Colorado
Georgia
Idaho (over 70%)
Illinois
Kansas (over 70%)
Minnesota
North Dakota

States Clinton won with (so far) more than 60% of the vote:

Arkansas

Kind of telling, isn't it?

62. She Won What She Was Leading. Big Whoop.
Obama had to keep it close. He did.

Obama wins Super Tuesday.

So you're wrong.

CA and NY (and MA and NJ) will be split up delegates-wise. Obama won more delegates last night because he won wider margins in smaller states and won more of those states. Nobody really won a "victory". Its tied.

66. Obama will do well on Saturday 2/9/08
and will be the Democratic frontrunner by Sunday morning.

That's considered Big Mo for Clinton?

68. The Ophra/Kerry/Teddy/Obama donkey act will continue to draw crowds of lemmings...
While Senator Clinton works diligently to win the larger and more important states. Kennedy and Kerry have some egg on their faces as they failed to win Mass for their candidate.
Ophra ran around with Skeletor (the wife of the Guvernator) and Caroline Kennedy trying to scare up support for their man. Although polls showed Obama's "surge" had put him 13 points ahead of Clinton in California...it failed to come true. California is a little smarter than Obama and his posse had hoped for.

:kick: and rec

69. Have you set the bar so low that an expected victory in 2 states is considered "the big MO"?
