I'm looking forward to more of these state polls! In John Kerry's words, bring them on! :D

4. I can't remember. Was that FL poll one that included Nader?
If so, once the Nader buzz dies down Kerry's lead will get even more substantial. I'm still not sure how large a lead Dems have to have to counter Jeb's BBV and other dirty tricks.

11. Come the national election, Nader will be lucky to get 1%, imo.
Btw, did that poll factor in Libertarians, who will take a few from *. Maybe more than a few with his popularity among fiscal conservatives plummeting.

2. IL is a 'ham sandwich' blue state.
No way Kerry will lose IL, unless he's caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.

3. I'm telling you, people here barely know there's an upcoming election
for the presidency. Someone I work with actually asked me if I knew who was going to be running against * in 2004. And I think that he has only been here twice in three years. Republicans have written off the state. However, Democrats WILL be voting because we are replacing our Republican (retiring) US senator with a likely Democratic US senator.

5. Yes.
IL will be a "+1" for the Democratic US Senate campaign this year. Bank on it. :)

7. If anything, I'm surprised the margin's not larger.
But it will be once the convention rolls around.

8. I live in a Republican area downstate.
Even here, what support Bush has is a mile wide and an inch deep.

12. The poll of 1,500 likely primary voters was conducted Wednesday night
PRIMARY voters? Is there some reason to think these voters in a Democratic primary would be voting for bush? How did bush get 39% from primary voting Democrats? That would seem to be bad news to me.

17. Their civil war went online this week.
I'm trying to find the URL, but this week the RW-ers have launched a website that attacks the moderate, Barr-Topinka wing of the party. It's getting even UGLIER than I ever hoped it would get!
