21. This territory is great news!

This is where the students are. This also holds an unusual multi-cultural center. It's a rural county with all that comes with it. (Missouri has been labelled the northernmost southern state.) But when you get into the small city where there is a university, there is a small Bosnian population. Indian, Asian, and mediterranean populations. Large enough that we have a mosque and an Indian temple.
And then there's the students who come from all across the state as well as out of state. This is a very representative county.

HILLARY CLINTON . . . . . . . . 9,598 36.95
BARACK OBAMA . . . . . . . . . 15,725 60.54

22. It's a big win because Missouri almost ALWAYS picks the president in its primary!

If history continues to follow precedent, it would be fitting that this upset here would translate into a national upset of Obama over Hillary too.

6. Missouri was weird. All night Clinton held a huge lead.
At one point I think it was close to 20. Then I noticed it was around 14, then 10 and then 4 and then 1 and then Obama was up.

Crazy.

9. The cities, particularly St. Louis, are apparently notoriously slow in counting.
Hillary won the outlying areas, but Obama racked up huge margins in the cities.

14. Very close to be seen as a big victory. I wonder how the delegates will break down.
Hillary won most of the state, minus where St. Louis and Kansas City is.

I live in Springfield, Missouri...and she won her!

25. Not estimates, but those that "become" committed as they add up the delegate counts...
I think the number now is 30 vs. 30, leaving 10 more delegates still to be "apportioned".

It is a bellweather state. If he can win Missouri, he can win nationally.
