1. Overseas voters have 22 delegates, nobody counts us!
Since the polls are open thru 2/12, I wonder how they will tally it? And when?

6. Did you, or did you not say that you were donating to Obama BECAUSE OF McClurkin?
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 03:17 AM by Lirwin2
Did you, or did you not say that McClurkins quotes were "taken out of context"?

The McClurkin controversy has inspired me to make a donation to the Obama campaign.

He was talking about himself, personally. The other two are taken out of context

On Edit: Yea Calguy, I became a McClurkin fan after he "fixed" me :rofl::rofl:

4. Clearly, race still plays a role in our elections.
More blacks and whites in California voted for Obama, more asians and latinos voted for Clinton.

Point is we need to reach out to each other to overcome it. I would hope someday elections would not divide along racial lines like this. It's encouraging in many areas of the country Obama did well with white folks as well as black folks, but we need to reach out to latinos and asians, clearly. It starts with building relationships. Clinton had a headstart.

11. Whether or not they're predjudiced or not is irrelevant
The facts are that she does well with hispanics and they helped her win Ca.

14. No, maybe I need to be more clear. The OP made the point that
"Hispanics are prejudiced" against blacks, which is why Obama didn't win. You don't consider that to be racist?

9. He has a legit shot at winning 8 of the 10 listed.
She probably wins Maine. I think she also takes Va. by a slim margin.

17. I'm not sure Clinton will win Maine
I'm hearing lots of buzz...I mean a LOT of buzz...for Obama. They're organized here, phonebanking, and doing a great Get-out-to-caucus effort.

Not a peep from the Clinton campaign.

21. Maine usually votes for liberals.
Kucinich did very well there in '04. Jesse Jackson won it. I think it goes to Obama.

19. Well, they do say that February is "Black History Month"
But it would be a big mistake to "misunderestimate" the Clintons.

I think Hillary should focus on Washington, Maryland and Wisconsin.

I don't think Hillary Clinton needs to worry about polls.

The fact is in every State of the Union, most Democrats are women.

20. Nebraska looks good. I don't know about Louisiana.
It borders Arkansas.

Maine usually goes for the liberal so that's likely an Obama state.

Obama should do very well on Feb 19 since he grew up in Hawaii and Wisconsin knows Obama well. It could be over on 2/19 if he wins big in most of the Feb states.

....but then there is March, which doesn't bode as well. It doesn't end after February, and I don't think Obama can change that.
