The Electoral College algorithm - er, AlGoreRhythm - for weighting your camp's bragging rights |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 06:58 AM by CorpGovActivist
A suggested algorithm: proportionally weight the results from each state yesterday by its share of the total Electoral College votes that result would have represented, had it been November.
For example, a 2% spread in "State ...", worth X Electoral College votes, would have its spread weighted accordingly.
Add up each result. Do same for other side.
It's not necessarily the best one, but it's intended to provide some objectivity.
Other ideas for objectively weighting the bragging rights, taking a cumulative view of the data? Been doing this for a long time, and it never fails to surprise me what new insights are provided by seemingly unrelated fields.

2. If it's gonna happen, it should at least be objective and thoughtful... |
|
... or, at least confusing enough to keep 'em busy doing the calculations for a while.
