1. With 11% of the vote still to be tallied. Could be into single digits before ...
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 07:14 AM by krkaufman
... the counting is all wrapped-up, assuming Scalia doesn't stop it. (Not sure Hillary will drop below 50%, though.)

2. 36% of California Dems voted EARLY
The polling of "real time" voters wasn't that far off.

4. I wonder if it is possible to study any differences in the preferences of early voters vs
"real time" voters.

If there were any substantive difference, I wonder to what extent most early voters were really committed to their candidate and would not have changed even if they had voted in "real time" or might have been influenced by campaigning if they had voted later.

6. But....
I thought Obama was supposed to WIN in California? That's what all the Obamaniacs have been saying for the past week or so. How can a defeat be celebratory?

7. You would be flat wrong, pumpkin
I certainly have not been saying that. I've written three OPs in the last week saying he'd lose in CA. And I based that on the polls which were all over the map and early voting. Only a couple of Obamaniacs thought he's win. Just as many of you Hilldroids said she'd win.

I've long said if he could keep it within a hundred or so pledged delegates it would be a big night for him. He did that and now moves to states where she can't win- like LA and NE. Of course, it's time for cautious optimism. And it's not good if Hilly suffers a string of defeats on Saturday and next Tuesday, Droid.

5. Good news. Looks like a large portion of Obama-friendly Alameda County is still outstanding too.

8. Clinton did Awesome in the face of the Media Obama Machine
I am stunned at how well she did! I am pleasantly surprised that the masses did not just agree with the media spin.

9. I can't believe how well she did in spite of all the odds
especially with the MSM against her because the media wants another Republican president. Hillary is really a fighter, isn't she.

10. Yeah you're right mtn, Obama is such a fighter
2 weeks ago Obama was supposed to get blown away in all but 5 states and yet he managed to win a majority of them. Amazing!

12. Not true. He was supposed to ride in on his glamor train powered by Oprah and Kennedy
I have never seen a report that said Obama was going to be blown away!

I have only seen how Obama is surging and Clinton is going to lose big...that has been the media spin.

And, again, they counted her out and down and she stood up fighting. She is amazing.

13. Hey you never heard me say that Obama would win CA by 10 pts
Never ever ever. I always said HRC would win CA and I doubted those poll numbers. The fact taht Obama did better than expected in 13 states says alot to me personally. I thought he'd win like 2 states, to me it is a victory. To you, HRC had a big victory. I say congrats to us both.

14. Not what I said
but I like your postive spin you're putting on it, although I don't recall a single analyst, other than you, saying Obama was supposed to get blown away in all but 5 states.

15. LOL...Nice way to spin it! The MSM and their polls had Obama with a double digit lead in CA.
yesterday! So, using their numbers...Obama lost 20% within HOURS! The Kennedy's, John Kerry, The Oprah, and Maria Shriver have egg on their faces and I am enjoying the hell out of that! California and Massachusetts were hit hard by the elite groupies and IT DID NO GOOD!:rofl::rofl:

His loss is not amazing, but Hillary's win certainly IS!
