Naive, but serious question: Is my primary vote actually going to count this year? |
|
I live in Pennsylvania, and our primary is April 22. Is it conceivable that this race still may not be decided by then?

1. Yes, your vote will likely matter. |
|
I don't see either one getting a big lead by mid April.

2. This could be the first time a presidential primary means something in PA, |
|
at least in my voting lifetime. I'm 52.

6. it isn't that you win or lose, what is really important is that you play the game. Karma . |
|
is not so apparent/obvious.. 'not' doing something, apparently not counting in the greater scheme, might show disinterest for that in your next incarnation.

7. Yesm it almost undoubtedly will. |

And if Edwards hadn't dropped out, it would be a strong three-way race.
I caucused last night in Kansas, in a crowd of well over a thousand people (compared to fewer than 200 four years ago) and it was quite astonishing how many hundreds stood in line for hours, in freezing rain and sleet, to participate.
Democracy at its finest.

8. Only if you are going to vote for one of the two corporate candidates |
|
since the MSM ousted the real progressives in the race. If you like Clinton or Obama, your vote will count. If your support was for Edwards or Kucinich, I'd say stay home. Neither of the remaining candidates will present a progressive agenda, and the progressives will not be represented at the convention. As usual, we will be kicked around and be expected to hold our noses as we vote Dem in November.

9. I strongly suspect that YOUR Primary |
|
will be the one that puts the cherry AND the sprinkles on the sweet delegate-sundae of the eventual Nominee.
Congrats!
