Actual delegates awarded from VOTES cast. BO-626, HRC-632
We have a dead heat folks!!!

How EXCITING!!!

The Race for Delegates
Democrats Needed to Win = 2,025
clinton 632 Obama 626

http://www.cnn.com/

Superdelegates can go either direction. They can't fairly be considered at this time.

I've read reports that a lot of delegates have refused to pledge at this point due to the closeness of the race.

2. With 400+ delegates yet to be calculated from last night. Whoo!
It is as close as it can get.

3. I wish they would stop including the supers in their counts. Those numbers
keep moving around. I've noticed an up and down in the supers counts over the past couple of weeks, so those votes aren't cast in stone and it's totally misleading.

5. No, you are wrong.
The OP clearly states that the number under discussion is delegates from votes actually cast, who are bound by party rules to a specific candidate. The numbers you cite are clearly described by the NY Times: "the A.P. count also includes a tally of unpledged superdelegates that the news organization has independently surveyed." These superdelegates are not bound by party rules to anyone, can change at any time, and are outside of this particular discussion.

7. but they haven't counted all the states yet, have they?
I know Alabama still has delegates that have yet to be awarded and New Mexico isn't even done counting yet.
