Do The Michigan and Florida Superdelegates Still Count
Or did the DNC strip only the regular delegates?

3. Not if Obama secures the nomination without them
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 10:22 AM by Perky
and Hillary secures it with them..... That is the nighmare scenario.

Both contests are tainted. Obama withdrew drom the michign contest.....there was no competion in Florida per agreement with the DNC. It is going to be a bloody bloody bloody fight to seat them.

I hope to God they are irrelevant to the victor one way or the other.

4. You hit it right on the head, Obama is the only one who wouldn't seat them.
In other words, he would be the only one to deny them their vote in a very close race.

5. But the votes are tainted in both states. and the ruls were agreed to
and the DNC rules committee has an obligatgion to enforce the rules it sets.

I would only seat them if they are uncommitted.

If you note Hillary only said Florida should be seated.....Not Michigan. If your argument is disenfranchisement then both state should be treated the same. The voters have the right to size up the candidates on issues that are important to them. They were denied that chance in both states....They were denied the opportuity to ask questions.

Do you honestly think Hillary would be calling for seating if she had not won the state?

SHe agreed with the decision to strip noth states until she realized they were going to be important to her.
