4. The reality is superdelegates exist. I'm sure Obama and his camp know this and
are after them, too. Let's not pretend this is a super-secret weapon for Hillary.

8. You know what really stinks is that many people didn't go to the polls in Fla

and presumably in Mi bcs they were told their votes didn't matter and in the end their states delegates may end up being seated. Very deceptive. My mom stayed home for this reason.

I keep thinking that in the end, whoever the democratic party leaders want to win the nomination is going to win the nomination, period. And we the voters don't have much control over the shuffling of the votes from FL, MI and superdelegates anyway.

13. I'm 100% in agreement with you on all points. I'd have NO problem with seating MI and FL if it had
been a FAIR primary. But this is beyond ridiculous and certainly not part of any democratic process I've ever heard of. They want to seat the delegates.. fine.. let the candidates campaign and let the people vote without telling them "IT DOESNT COUNT" and with all candidates names on the freakin ballot. Also agree that who we get, in the end, is who the DLC/DNC wants. Period.

3. Brokered convention
would occur if no candidate has enough delegate votes to get the nomination so there will be brokering going on, horsetrading if you will, trading of delegates, deals given for votes etc until someone gets the necessary numbers to be nominated. I'm not too clear on super delegates.

5. Super Delegates are party leaders.
Democrats in Congress, the Senate, governors, former Senators, etc.

They get a delegate vote at the convention, and are not bound to how voters from their districts voted. In essence, they get a weighted vote. They can vote for whomever they chose.

Of the 4061 delegates total, 796 are Super delegates.

A couple hundred or so have indicated who they want to vote for (ie Ted Kennedy for Obama). THey are not bound to that, and can change anytime until they vote at the convention.

5. Superdelegates have been around for a long time

Basically, the Democratic Party is terrified of actual democracy so they rigged a system that allows party insiders to have a good chance at overriding an "inappropriate" caucus/primary vote for the Presidential nominee. The Republican Party does not have superdelegates.

12. That's correct, and the number sometimes includes

members of the DNC who aren't elected officials, and state representatives and senators too.

The ultimate insider. No accountability to anyone. The fact that you have to ask tells you all you need to know about how secret they like to keep it.
