Can Obama ride the wave for another month? |
|
There is little doubt that he is the most inspiring and exciting candidate running at the present time. However, the next big primaries are 4 weeks from now, when OH and TX are in the running. Can he sustain his popularity over the next few weeks? Or will the novelty of his race (primary, not color) somewhat lessen by then? I have seen both JFK speak and I have seen Obama speak. I think Obama is more inspiring than JFK.

I've seen several assertions this morning that the next primaries favor Barack and I'm curious where that info is coming from.

8. It's based on several factors. |
|
First, whether in blue or red states, Barack has thus far been outstanding in caucuses -- and Washington, Maine and Nebraska are all caucuses. Then there's Louisiana, and if Alabama and Georgia are any indication, he'll do great there too. The black vote will nail down D.C., and Obama has had an organized effort in Maryland since before South Carolina. Virginia's a little tougher to nail down, but with Tim Kaine's efforts on the part of Obama there, this should be a good run. Also, anecdotal evidence throughout the Chesapeake area heavily favors Obama -- for whatever reason, the company town of D.C. isn't too big on the Clintons, and the biggest Democratic voting blocs in Maryland and Virginia are all D.C. suburbs.
I think the best chance Hillary Clinton has in the next couple weeks is in Wisconsin. If she wins any state, it'll be there.

5. The more they see him, the more they love him. Obama's momentum, popularity and movement will |
|
only grow larger and more encompassing. He gains new support daily.
If he builds it, they will come :woohoo:
