Feb 5th: Hillary 36.7, Obama 17.3
...that was Feb 5th 2007.

It's challenging to take out an incumbent who is part of a duo that is the most famous and significant pair in Democratic politics, but Obama has narrowed that gap significantly last night.

It took a year, but the Inevitable Hillary seems less so now. Despite the MSM predicting and salivating over a Hillary- McCain (or then Rudy) matchup, the inevitable Clintons machine is less so. Despite huge odds, Obama has not only narrowed the gap, but has become a competitive challenger to establishment Democratic machine.

4. It is unfortunate that the media & Hillary promoted the Clintons as Inevitable
and they are all quiet about that part now.

9. The same would be true of anyone who was challenging Hillary now.
As the other candidates dropped out, it's inevitable that the gap would narrow. A year ago only the really die-hard political watchers really cared. Hillary Clinton had the name recognition. Everyone knew that that gap would narrow as time progressed toward the election.

Nothing against Obama - he's the one who is still in it, while the others dropped out. But it doesn't mean that Hillary has done anything wrong.

11. Oh but it didn't matter who it was to the media & Clintons - to them it was her nomination, period.

10. I would go further and say Feb 5 was HRC's 'last firewall' and now Obama is the candidate to beat...
