1. Wes Clark!!
But I think it's more likely Clinton and Obama would run on the same ticket.

5. A year ago, I would have chosen Gore.
A month ago, I was backing Edwards. I'd be great with him being the nominee. Got no use for the others you list as presidential nominees.

11. I'd Bet Any Amount Of Money, That Even In A Deadlocked Convention, The Nomination Would Not
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 01:16 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
Go To A Person Who Never Campaigned For It...

The most likely outcome is #1 and #2 would be "forced" by the party to run as a team...

22. Way too much $$$ has been spent on this race by ALL sides
There's no chance in hell they'd pick somebody who hasn't contested a primary to be the nominee.

I'm still of the opinion that we'll have a nominee by the convention, though. There's still ±20 states to go.

27. It doesn't work that way. One side ultimately prevails.
You don't pick a new guy out of the woodwork. Too reminescent of the smoke filled rooms.
BAD image wise. Hillary should drop out now, and assist in the healing.

28. I would say it is not likely that would happen, as there is no one else
now that Edwards has dropped out to split off delegates. It is possible that one of the two will be just a few delegates ahead of the other, though still be a few delegates short of clinching the nomination. If it's that close, I don't see one dropping out, possibly leading to a third option.
