WIN: Is Clinton - Obama Vote Split More About Class Than Race Or Gender?

http://www.laborradio.org/node/7858

By Doug Cunningham

Hillary Clinton scored wins in the biggest states on Super Tuesday including California, New York, and New Jersey. Clinton also won in Massachusetts despite the Edward Kennedy’s endorsement of Obama. But Obama won more state and the delegate split was just about even. Clinton and Obama split the vote along class lines. According to CNN, Clinton got the votes of workers earning $50,000 a year or less, Obama won the vote of people making more than $50,000.

: "Together we're going to take back America because I see an America where our economy works for everyone, not just those at the top, where prosperity is shared and we create good jobs that stay right here in America. I see an America where we don't just provide health care for some people or for most people, but for every single man, woman, and child!"

Obama is convinced his campaign is a movement for fundamental political change.

: "Our time has come! I'll be the president who ends the tax breaks to companies that ship our jobs overseas, and start putting them in the pockets of hard-working Americans who deserve 'em and struggling homeowners who deserve them, and seniors who should retire with dignity and respect and deserve them!"

1. I think it's more about Open Government v Closed Government
Many of us Dems have HAD it with the constant protection of secrecy and privilege of the Bushes and the powerful elite that has gone on for deacades and has led to almost everything seroiously wrong that's been happening in this country and the world in recent years.

That shouldn't be so hard to understand. People are sick and tired of being sick and tired and screwed over by the Bushprotecting corporatist wing of our party.

4. I think its split along age more than anything...

Old farts like Hillary.... especially white ones.

Young people like Obama

Old people grew up before the Civil Rights movement... they're still scared of people with darker skin pigment.

5. Fear and terror!
OMG, someone with darker skin pigment--as someone 50+ I'm quivering in fear. Just WHO do you think participated in the Civil Rights movement?

6. The "old people" you are referring grew up during the Civil
Rights Movement and many of them were quite active in that movement. Methinks you shouldn't be painting with so broad a brush.
