I'm worried about Hillary's Campaign.
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 04:27 PM by maddiejoan
I think Obama has beaten her into the ground and buried her forever.

It's inevitable now that the frontrunner is Obama and he will absolutely crush Hillary to dust.

6. I'm pro-Obama, but not counting the chickens
(And then again you may have been joking.)

The next few look good for Obama: Louisiana and DC seem like gimmes. I'm not as sanguine about Maryland as a lot of Obamans are (I think her support among suburban blacks will be stronger than people are imagining), but I think he'll pull through a win. And I think she can win Virginia, if she hits the pavement right now. If she shows strong in Maryland and Washington, and takes Virginia, she'll be back in good shape. Otherwise, she's going to have to wait for PA and TX.

It's like a boxer and a fighter; she has powerhouse victories but Obama keeps jabbing with the little states, and the fighter can't punch hard at the same pace.

We'll see what happens. I want Obama to win and win big, but you never know what'll happen.

I do have much more hope than yesterday though!

8. It's not over yet, sweetie
This could be decided on the convention floor for all we know. We could come down to a few delegates deciding this or even, now the DNC is saying, caucusing Florida and Michigan.

Hold on.

40. Some Georgetown professor on Thom Hartmann's program, the other day...
... or maybe it was Rachel's... suggested just that. Florida and Michigan could hold caucuses. (Sounds good to me, so long as there's a bit of time to campaign in each state.)

Obama won more states, but Hillary won the big states and won more delegates.

I'd say we have co-frontrunners right now.

keep the faith a little longer my friend. As everyone has been reporting for the most part there will continue to be splitting of the delegates and neither candidate is finished at this point. The questions are who will take the big prizes remaining. And will FL and possibly MI get to share in democracy or are they going to be screwed?

Plus Hillary has been able to get her supporters out to the polls everytime she needed to. The Iowa thing and these other states Obama is taking are special cases. He is losing the Dem vote in our strong holds. That counts for something in my book.

:)

24. Not a Crush. Just a Long, Slow Erosion Back Into The Senate.
She will remain a force in the Party for many, many years. That said, I think that she failed to do what was needed last night to stem the distinct erosion of her national support. Time is not on her side.

26. No
I'm afraid the force of Obama's campaign has been so strong and unrelenting that she won't even go back to the Senate!

She will probably just retire now.

That is how thorough Obama's destruction of Senator Clinton has been.

Oh that it weren't so.

:sniff:

27. Not worried, just don't know what to do with myself now.
Today is kinda like Christmas morning after all the gifts are given...now what do you do. I voted for her, I donated to her campaign, and now I don't know what else to do. As long as I could look forward to voting for her, I was pretty much able to ignore the BS from BO supporters. I guess I need to find something else to be interested in, and wait out the rest of the campaign season.

29. Her campaign has been so poorly run. She started out with tons of money, name recognition, and
a famous spouse. She was supposedly the inevitable nominee, both from her campaign's point of view and from the MSM point of view. She got the lion's share of time in almost all of the debates, if not all of the debates.

She squandered it all. Now she's loaning her campaign money out of her own pocket, (5 million first installment) and she's begging FOX to give her face time.

Anybody who is paying attention should understand that her experience isn't what it's cracked up to be. Her judgment isn't what it's cracked up to be. And if she can't even beat a neophyte Senator from her own party, what chance does she have against the Repos in November?

And I'm concerned. So I'm going to make another donation today. And not advertise it (neener-neener) with a new thread.
