going around is nonsense, although widespread. has anybody heard anything about a speech he supposedly made near the beginning of his campaign in which he is supposed to have said, "when I am elected the race riots of the 60s and 70s will look mild by comparison". naturally, the person who was telling me this cannot find proof, but swears she heard it herself.
