From an Email I just got. Jim Esch ran against Congressmqn Lee Terry. He is the only serious threat Terry has faced in that office.
Friends,
Hello. I hope this email finds you well. During the 2006
elections, we worked together to challenge the status-quo. Because of your
dedication and time, we built an incredible grassroots organization,
dedicated to eliminating the power of special interests in Washington. We
worked passionately, and as a result, we accomplished things the cynics
deemed impossible. Today, I ask you to continue standing for change.
The Nebraska Democratic Presidential primary caucus is quickly
approaching on Saturday, February 9th. The caucus offers a historic
opportunity for Nebraskans to effect real change in Washington. By showing
up to your local caucus location, you can stand in support of the Democratic
presidential candidate you believe will deliver on the promises of change we
worked together for in 2006.
I am writing you today because I believe there is only one candidate
in the race for President who shares our commitment to truly changing
Washington. That candidate is Barack Obama.
Senator Obama refuses to accept federal lobbyist money for his
campaign, just as I did in 2006. And his candidacy has inspired a historic
grassroots movement, made up of ordinary Americans working together to
change their country, just as you did in 2006. He embodies everything I
have wanted in a leader and a president: intelligence, courage, vision and
an ability to unite people across all the lines that seemingly divide us.
He believes as you have demonstrated that when ordinary people come
together, they can accomplish extraordinary things. Senator Obama is the
first leader to ever truly inspire me.
To find your local caucus location and time visit the Nebraska
Democratic Party website:

details are as follows:
Stand for Change Rally with Barack Obama

1804 Capitol Ave
Thursday, February 7
Doors Open 3:30 pm
If you not currently a registered democrat, but would like to caucus for
Barack Obama, you may register at the event. Also, for those currently under
18 years of age, you may also participate in this election, as long as you
will be 18 by November 4th, 2008.
For more information on Barack Obama's vision for America, you can visit his
website at

9th in support of Senator Obama, the next president of the United States.
Sincerely,
Jim Esch
