Independent (UK): "The Chicago street where a dangerous secret from Barack Obama's past lurks"
The British press seem to be doing a good job in chasing this up, and pointing out the obvious implications of the upcoming trial for Obama's candidacy:

The Chicago street where a dangerous secret from Barack Obama's past lurks

By Leonard Doyle in Chicago
Monday, 4 February 2008

...As soon as Mr Rezko's corruption trial starts in two weeks' time the questions about Mr Obama will resume again, but this time before a national audience rather than tucked inside the pages of The Chicago Tribune.

Mr Obama successfully pushed back at Mrs Clinton's allegation that he represented the "slum landlord" Rezko as a lawyer.

Should Mr Obama win the Democratic nomination for the presidential race, the attack dogs of the Republican Party will be all over the "Rezko scandal". Mr Obama will be attacked for actions which though perfectly legal have left him vulnerable on one of his campaign's key selling points: his good judgement.

He now describes as "boneheaded" a financial deal he made with Mr Rezko to buy a strip of land, just 10 feet wide, from the plot Ms Schwan is now trying to sell. His difficulty is that he made the property deal at a time when his political sponsor and former close friend Rezko has been indicted on federal corruption charges, an affair that was blasted all over the Chicago media.

It's barely been mentioned on MSM and now we can't even depend on KO to bring it to the public. Damn!

6. Keeping your post in mind, it would seem that neither one of these two ...
candidates should be elected president then. Hillary's situation is much worse that BO's is though, cause hers was illegal as you will see in these two videos.

10. Obama's crew, just in case, should develop a dossier on Bush and Republican deals with Big Oil, ...
Halliburton, Blackwater, et al, ready to fire salvos at all the Republicans who enabled these deals which allowed these corporations to steal the U.S. Treasury.

Just about every politician is going to have some questionable actions in their background because the power and influence they wield is going to attract some shady characters.

None of it compares to the systematic looting of America by Republicans in the past seven years. A catalogue of the worst examples would run for many pages. Obama's campaign should start working on it now.
