WA First LD: Obama takes BIG lead
My precinct was 4 to 1 for Obama, and the whole district ran about 3 to 1 in favor of Obama.

HUGE,. HUGE turnout. It was overflow.

4. no delegates are actually won today - but the eventual award with the others leading
to 3/4 will make Obama the delegate leader going into 3/4

As I understand our caucus procedure this caucus elected delegates to another state event that then elects nominating delegates.

6. Our precinct was 80% Obama--
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 07:21 PM by spindrifter
SRO--and thank goodness the fire marshall didn't show up--there wouldn't have been room.

The best thing was the number of young, new voters, many of whom had gone to see the Obama speech yesterday. The reason this was the best thing--they are energized to vote! There were plenty of the oldsters there, as well. No matter who the Democratic candidate is, people seem committed to getting behind that person to bring about change.

And this is the 43rd District in King County.

8. Kenmore WA Reporting Here!
...overflowing where I went too and for my precinct it was 4 delegates for Obama and 2 for Hillary ~ and where I live it is Whitey Land I might add, so I was surprised at the massive turnout for Obama. I was uncommitted because I was an Edwards supporter, but decided at the last to go with Obama. I am now an alternate delegate for him and on to the district caucus in April!

Oh yeah! :bounce: :bounce: :wow: :wow: :applause: :applause:

And everyone was very respectful of each other.

The trend for our district was running heavily in Obama's favor.

10. W. Seattle: my precinct was 4 to 1 Obama also.
This turnout quadrupled the turnout in 2004. I was really glad to see so many people participating.

14. Tacoma Wa. Precinct 27-321: 16 Delegates, 13 went Obama, 3 for Clinton
From what I have been seeing from other returns, Western Washington is turning out in unprecedented numbers and Obama is reaping a landslide!
