OH SHIT! Voting irregularities reported by Obama campaign in LA
After Widespread Reports of Voting Irregularities Obama Campaign Submits Urgent Request for Assistance
By Sam Graham-Felsen - Feb 9th, 2008 at 7:03 pm EST

BATON ROUGE, LA— The Obama campaign submitted an urgent request for assistance to the Secretary of State’s Division of Elections today, after receiving widespread reports from Democrats across Louisiana who reported that they were not allowed to vote because their party affiliation had been switched. Hundreds of Louisiana democrats went to the polls to vote in today’s presidential primary and found that they were now on registration lists as Independent or Unaffiliated voters.

What Louisiana voters to need to know:

Democrats who are told at their polling places that they are now registered Independent or Unaffiliated voters and aren’t eligible to vote – but never switched their party affiliation – can still vote in today’s primary by requesting a provisional ballot. The Secretary of State has confirmed that all voters have the right to vote a provisional ballot if there is a problem with the registration lists.

The Obama campaign encourages votes to report all voter registration issues to the Secretary of State Elections division at 800-883-2805.

that is somehow something good for just who? This is not a HRC or BO issue it is a switching of party affiliation by someone and therefore an irregularity that could just as easily affect either candidate.

66. Yes they are...
And of course Obama hasn't benefitted by Nancy Pelosi keeping impeachment off the table. He isn't looking to become the first Madame President. And that seems to be what's behind the decision by Madame Speaker to keep impeachment off the table. God forbid Nancy Pelosi became the first Madame President. Of course if she had a brain, which she doesn't, or a heart, which she doesn't, she might have realized that instead of selling out the American people she might have saved them.

My impression of the Clinton supporters on the blogs is they are either fools or plants on the blogs to keep support going.

If she manages to pull it off, I hope somehow Barack Obama manages to get on the ballots in all 50 states as an Independent and wins.

I'd rather have the first Independent in this case than the first Madame President.

56. A pattern?
There apparently were other "irregularities" in California. As for the Secretary of State telling everyone to go ahead and vote, when did the Secretary of State tell everyone this? An hour before the polls closed?

Dirty tricks? You bet. And you can bet it wasn't the Republicans this time. All eyes turn to whom?

57. It's still a big mess down there. We just pretend that it isn't. Easier that way.

69. There were problems with not enough and inappropriate ballot use across the country.
Mondo problem nationally. At some point I would like American lawmakers to get a clue and homogenize the election process across this country. There is no excuse for this kind of stuff to be happening.

Now three Clinton supporters/election workers taking unsecured boxes of votes home in New Mexico I have a problem with. A huge problem with. WTF is that all about anyway? Have we learned nothing since 2000 or are some people so desperate to win that they deem cheating okay? Feh.
