If one candidate should start to pull away, should the other one drop out before the convention? |
|
I keep hearing that if we wait until the convention to pick our nominee we may lose because we'd only have 8 weeks to mount a national campaign against the republican.
If it appears that one candidate is pulling away from the other one as we get close to the summer, should the declining candidate consider the health of the party and the good of the party and country and drop out so that the winner can start to run against the repuke?
This is not an invitation to argue, because it appears that as of today both candidates are even in the delegate total.
First and foremost I want a democratic president in 2009, after that, I'd like it to be my candidate.

2. I was just thinking the same thing. If HRC is the true dem she claims |
|
to be, it should be obvious she's not going to pull this out. This is only the primary season and Barack is running away with this thing. The one thing that inspires is that the repugs are scared to death of him. Can you imagine Barack and the Huck in a debate??? Sorry girlfriend, time for a reality check, do the right thing and let Obama go straight to a non-brokered convention. You did a fine job and all that, but it's his time..
