A HUGE problem when asking for information OR presenting information about either candidate
The thread immediately descends into a digression of THE CANDIDATE rather then the INFORMATION.

Don't believe it just cast a line that criticizes Obama on his Iraq War Fund Votes and you will see that you get something along the lines of "So did Hillary."

Just cast a line that criticizes Hillary for voting FOR the invasion AND for the funding and you will get something along the lines of "Obama also voted for the funding."

This is a protective mechanism by all parties to avoid any cognitive dissonance and more importantly to keep the relevant issues backstage and keep the IMAGES front and center.

It's called marketing.

2. I have
More than a little.

And quite naturally have read far more than what their campaigns have egested.

If anyone wanted to actually get informed analysis about each candidate the last place to do so when seeking insightful material is in the promotional literature written by the marketers of the product.

Certainly that is not how you have formed your opinion.

4. Good luck with your thread.
I say that sincerely. Either the candidates are denigrated, or someone posts links with absolutely no summary, as if to say, "Here, read this. I don't understand it and can't summarize it succinctly for you, but take it or leave it because my candidate says it's true."

You have thoughtful posts. I always click on them. Again, good luck.
