Bill Clinton should be on the phone with the "super delegates"? |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 10:56 PM by kentuck
This race may hinge on the super delegate vote or the FL and MI delegates? Hillary might be better served if Bill was contacting the Senators and Congressmen that are the super delegates. This may mean the difference in the race? Then we can say the Democrats stole a race from themselves, rather than having the Republican machine do the dirty work?

6. It is his right to call the super delegates |
|
Obama has some of his prominent supporters calling super delegates on his behalf as well. Mind you, I think super delegates are a bad idea, and are un-democratic as hell. But as of now, the rules allow them. And the camapigns are allowed to do this.

7. I think he learned a lesson when he put himself out there. |
|
He's in a unique position. He's the former president AND the husband of a current candidate for the democratic presidential nomination AND a superdelegate.
I don't think a lot of the supers will be thrilled at receiving a phone call from him.

Oh, it must be some troll! Go splash some cold water in your face. Politics ain't beanbag. This is not a pro-Hillary post. This is a pro-reality post.
On edit: Sorry tatiana. This response was not intended as a response to your post. Disregard.

Trolls? Splash cold water in my face? C'mon kentuck.
Perhaps I did not make myself clear. I'm not saying it's not possible Clinton would be calling supers. I'm saying it wouldn't be smart of him to do so and that there are more than a few undecided supers who wouldn't be happy to hear from him.
If word got out that Clinton was calling superdelegates, I think there would be a HUGE backlash.
