the more i think about it, the more i would not want to see him as VP. if it was just hillary -- maybe. but it's bill and hillary.

34. I agree, which is why I was surprised that this article indicated that Obama's
camp might be considering it.

The Clintons have such a big presence, that I'm not sure somebody with as big a presence as Obama, would do well in the VP slot.

This whole campaign is a nail biter - no matter who one supports!

I'm uncommitted and I'm getting ulcers!

52. I think
Obama would do well in the VP slot because his presence is so big. I think he would eventually overshadow Bill. I would be delighted with a split ticket - granted, I'd prefer Hillary on top of that ticket, but delighted either way. We'd have an unbelievable chance at 16 years of a Dem white house, with a possible Edwards as AG.

41. What the hell?
Mr Obama has begun calling those "super delegates" - 795 congressmen and senior party officials who could break a dead heat - who are committed to Mrs Clinton, asking them to change their minds and help him wrap up the nomination.

As of tonight, the two candidates were neck and neck but Mr Obama appeared to be gaining momentum.

"He's saying: 'Hey, I won your state and I won your congressional district, why are you supporting her?'" a Democrat strategist revealed.

Does that mean he's also calling people like John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, and telling them they should back Hillary, because that's who their constituents chose?

LEXINGTON, Va. — After gathering information from polls, blogs and interviews with experts, students at Washington and Lee are giving the nod to Hillary Rodham Clinton in the country’s most accurate mock convention.

The Virginia liberal arts school’s contest has proven correct all but five times in the last 100 years. The school has only missed the mark once since 1948.

50. Did it ever occur to you, that I don't think Obama is a good Democrat?
I don't think making sexist comments like "Hillary Clinton was always the default candidate because she's Hillary Clinton and not Hillary Rodham" qualify Obama for the Democrat of the Year Award.

I don't think Obama is being a "good" Democrat when he constantly says that if he wins the nomination, Sen. Clinton's supporters will back him, but he doesn't believe his supporters will back her. He's sending a coded message to his supporters, NOT to back her. And who the hell does he think he is, to speak for me, a Clinton supporter. He says Clinton supporters will back him, but he doesn't think his supporters will back her. So now he thinks he can speak for Clinton supporters? Well, this is one Clinton supporter who will never pull a lever for Barack Obama.

54. I think he has a lot of blind loyalists following him, just like Jim Jones...That's the issue I'm
dealing with---the issue of blind loyalty...and Obama supporters not wanting to hold him accountable for anything, or ask the important questions regarding his record. Hell...half of Obama's supporters can't even articulate in any substantive way, why they support him.

So yes, I do find a striking comparison to the Jim Jones situation, in terms of blind loyalty.

61. Actually...yes, they did. That was their opportunity to show they are not just blindly getting
behind Obama.

They could have used the opportunity to state SUBSTANTIVE reaons why they support Obama. And I'm not talking about the B.S. "He gives me hope" or "He's not Clinton."

I'm talking about specific policy reasons for supporting Obama.

They could have held him accountable for his relationship with a slum landlord.

So the poster proved my point about the blind loyalty.

63. You really don't understand how logical argumentation and debate
works, do you? You are the one who made the accusation, so it is incumbent upon you to prove your thesis. As I said above, your silly post really is unworthy of being dignified, comparing as it does a prominent Democratic Senator with a murderous cult leader. I thought shilling for Right-wing talking points wasn't allowed here, but you are doing it, so I guess I was wrong.

support him.

They don't think he should be held accountable for his dealings with a slum landlord.

They haven't asked the tough questions about his record.

They are operating on blind loyalty.

I more than proved my point. And YOU are proving it for me even further, by not articulating why you support Obama..IF you even know why.

35. I don't think so. The next month or so will tell for sure. I don't buy all
this BS about the contest going to the convention or that Super Delegates will make the final decision. I think that's what the media would love...Matthews has said several times how much he would LOVE a brokered convention! A few weeks ago, I wasn't too sure just how much support Barack would really get in States that don't have a large black population, but with each primary/caucus, it appears not to be an issue. I honestly think Barack is going to be the Dem nominee. I only have one GREAT FEAR!!!! I'm afraid that November is sooo far away, people will lose their enthusiasm, and the voter turnout in the GE will do us in once again! It's very encouraging that Dem voters FAR outnumber Pubs in EVERY primary, but a lot of those voters are young new voters. I've heard way too many times that "XXXXX election will hinge a lot on the youth vote" and then when it comes time to actually get their little butts to the polls in November, they don't show up! I HOPE I'm proven wrong this time!!!!!!!!!!!
