Poll question: Will The Super-Delegates Stick With Their Endorsements, Regardless Of The Pledge Delegates ???
IOW - Does anybody really think the super-delegates are going to over-turn the will of the Democratic Party electorate???

:wtf:

1. The superdelegates are NOT bound. They can change their minds.
If Obama continues to build the kind of momemtum he's shown this week, it's hard to imagine those superdelegates who now describe themselves as "Pro-HRC" to stay in her column.

4. Here's the NYT article on it
There are nice quotes from many politicians - here is my favorite:

“My personal opinion is it would be a mistake and disastrous either way for the superdelegates — insiders, establishment politicians — to come along and overturn the expressed view of those pledged delegates,” Mr. Kerry said.

5. I don't expect the superdelegates to vote as a block.
I have other theories as to what they may or may not do and why, but I'll keep them to myself for now.

8. No They Won't...
What they will do, is the math. They will see how many SD's feel they need to stick with their endorsed candidate, for whatever reasons, and will release the rest to the other if they want to go there.

But what is certain, is that the MAJORITY of Super-Delegates will vote along with the majority of the Pledge Delegates.

Just like in congress, where when they know they have the votes needed for some desired outcome, they will allow a certain number to peel off in order to cover certain hides.

7. Kerry and Kennedy

who both endorsed Obama, and are Super-Delegates. As someone who hopes Obama is the nominee, I'd still say if it comes down to it at the convention I would expect them to switch to Clinton. (since she won Mass)

Am I concerned with all the stories of the Clinton's putting the hard sell on Super-Delegates? Frankly, yes. But if the party insiders overturn the will of the voters, it's hardly worth being a member of the party.

edited for clarification

11. Most superdelegates haven't even committed.
If they haven't committed by now, it means they are waiting to see who the winner will be.
