Hillary's surrogates keeps talking about Texas and Ohio
now, I don't know about Ohio, because I'm not from there,
but....I can understand the meme, they're trying to earn
their kip, I live in Houston Tx, and from what I'm seeing
its not even close, I know the media would play the race
card between Latinos and blacks, as always divide and
conquer, won't work....mark my words.

Theres' a huge shock on the horizon, and they are not going to tamper
with the voting machines either, not this time anyway. Texas is not
New Mexico.

Word for the wise should be sufficient.

2. Heck even in NM Obama came close to winning. And didn't he just send 60
staffers into Texas? I think it will be a real contest and that Obama has a shot at winning it.

3. I'm in the DFW area
and among my democratic friends, it's all Obama. Even the more moderate republicans I know like him a lot too.

4. Texas is going to be a surprise
To the nation.

Then again, Hillary may drop out before March 4 - meaning we won't get to be king shit....AGAIN.

5. But... But... We all know Hillary can't carry Texas in the GE, so it shouldn't count, right?
I mean, just look at the original post in this thread. Can't have it both ways :hi:

6. Agreed. Clinton campaign has sent their loyalists their talking points.
The meme is that Hillary will win the big states, and those are the states Democrats need to win in the fall. They list off Texas and Ohio, and then say we won't know the real direction of the primary season until late April in Pennsylvania.

They're playing for time, hoping to depend on the apportionment system to keep them in the game, while they promise all manner of goodies to superdelegates in return for their vote. It's illegal, but it's likely being done.

I don't think they can lie, cheat or steal their way to victory, and frankly, the party is sick of their act. We're sick of having to eat shit for the excesses and misconduct of the Clintons. Enough!! We need a fresh start, not a return to the fractured, pained world of life with the biggest drama queens the party has ever seen.

7. Did you see our opening of the Barack HQ in Houston today?
We expected 300-350, we got 500-600. Blocked traffic on Southmore. Big groups went canvassing -- historically democratic precincts. 7 to 1 for Barack. The effort was phenomenal. And this is entirely volunteer (no national workers, yet).

And with our open primaries, it looks good!

But we have significant work to do.

No Hillary activism anywhere (big surprise).

10. They better not underestimate Barack in TX
There are areas in Texas like Houston. That could go heavily for Obama. And the Hispanics in TX are much different from the ones in California. He will do much better with TX hispanics

11. Why are you so sure they're not going to tamper with the voting machines
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 11:47 PM by snot
-- because you think it's not close enough? I live in another part of TX, and people here don't even seem to be paying much attention.
