smart way to frame a major difference.

And then the part where he said he is the right candidate because the other candidate has taken more money from lobbyists then McCain ....

whoops! zing!

6. Imagine Obama saying that in a debate with McCain.
Edited on Sun Feb-10-08 01:21 AM by BattyDem
McCain would probably thank Obama for praising his half a century of service ... not realizing that what Obama really said to the entire country was, "The man is freakin' old!"

10. These were scripted lines. Has he ever been witty in a debate?
I've always seen someone sullen and inarticulate.

5. Yeah, making fun of age is much funnier than making fun of race or gender.

7. He says that every time he is acknowledging or praising McCain's service before he slams him on the
specifics. It is a great way to point out the age thing without actually saying anything wrong or negative.

8. just wait--
just wait until the 'then'/'now' videos showing not only how he's flip flopped since running in 2000 but also how really, really creepy old he looks.

(note to my chronologically blessed progressive brothers and sisters, not everyone in their 70's is creepy old looking, only the ones hoping to keep us in Iraq for a hundred years - we're cool right?)

9. I listened to him say that yesterday and it came off as genuine and .......
yet it was almost subliminal, this guy is old and his time has past. Obama is an artist at work when he opens his mouth.
