1. He'd have to be out of his mind to do that, so probably not.

10. When Webb was running in the primaries...
He and his opponent had a debate on Hardball. They were asked "If the presidential nomination were between Hillary and Mark Warner who would you support?" His opponent immediately said Mark Warner. Webb said..."I don't know. I'm undecided." Shockwaves went through his campaign. You'd have to understand how much Virginia democrats LOVE Mark Warner. Matthews even gave him a chance to answer again by rephrasing the question. He repeated "I'm still undecided."

Webb is not influenced by what is popular.

5. some banter on TV seemed to imply he was or had or would by Tuesday
but, I had just turned on the TV and couldn't tell if I'd missed something.

7. I saw that too, and thought it was disingenuous, reflecting bias
of whatever talking head(s) said it.

I'll be really surprised if Webb endorses Clinton. Even if he was inclined to, it looks like Obama is going to win VA by a large margin.

8. Obama helped him get elected
with several trips to VA when he was running. I don't see that happening

9. IIRC, he's a moderate, possibly even a little bit conservative Democrat
I'm not so sure he would be quick to get on board with the candidate of Kennedy and Kerry. My Governor, Ted Strickland of Ohio endorsed her and, I suspect, it's because he too is a moderate Democrat who can't get on board with the top 3 liberal Senators.

11. I can't imagine he would.
I think Webb and Obama are fond of each other.
