3. Didn't know we were at war with Iran. |
|
But aren't any of the three remaining viable candidates going to have to come up with the troops for Iraq and Afghanistan? I mean, we all know that whomever is sworn in on January 20 next year won't make a difference in the fact that we will have troops in those two countries for a long, long time...and in Iraq those numbers will be very large.
Where are they going to get the troops?

I wonder if people would act the same way if they knew that their own kids would be going?

but have decided to. i'm not confident hillary or obama would keep us out of iran.
i know that at least obama is willing to begin immediate diplomacy sans preconditions, but hillary has stated that diplomacy within the first year especially without preconditions in office would be "naive."
and both of them have been quoted as saying that all options ought to remain on the table. so i am not confident, even though this easily could have been "tough guy" posturing to gain a moderate backing.
regardless, they are both by far less hawkish than mccain, and at this point, after a great deal of heartburn nausea & upset stomach, while i am hoping for obama, i have decided to support either of them- i may cringe when i do so, but it beats the hell out of ol' 100 more years...
