What's going on with counting the GOP vote in WA?
13 or 17% have not been counted...anyone know why?

Or is this board just a place to go to bash Obama or Clinton?

As posited earlier, I think the GOP total is stalled because no one in
the Republican Party can count very high.

Some not at all.

Don't make fun of them. These people deserve assistance and compassion.

2. Trying to sneak in McCain votes?
There's no reasonable reason for the GOP to sleep on the results of a heavily contested race. I wouldn't be surprised if there's hanky panky going on.

3. Didn't I read somewhere that 30% of WA republicans voted "other"?

6. About 13% were uncommitted.
The GOP side of the WA caucus was a huge clusterfuck. McCain, Huckabee, Paul, and Romney scored from 26% to 16%. No wonder 13% went with uncommitted!

8. no, that's not the problem
TPM has AN answer, the GOP announced McCain won with only 87% of the vote COUNTED (including 12-13% undecided). The party says it will announce the final totals Monday.

Odd. Especially considering McCain is only up by 1.8%

4. I heard someone on the Sun. AM talk shows say "they had legal issues
in Wa". I think it was AH DeLay on Face the Nation. He didn't elaborate on what they were though.

5. The legal issues are over Huckabee conceding:
In an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," Huckabee said he and his team are still analyzing the results of Washington's caucuses.

"We're looking at some legal issues. We're not ready to concede that one," Huckabee said, without going into specifics.

Another good excerpt from the article:

On the Republican side, turnout was lighter. Even in heavily Republican Lewis County, the Republican caucuses at W.F. West High School in Chehalis drew only about 15 people, compared to more than 160 at a Democratic caucus elsewhere in the school.

7. Well, when the votes slow down and aren't final by 6 hours after ...
... it's a pretty good sign someone in the state party power structure is trying to fudge the results to give someone they favor the outcome. Some Shady Clintonistas got caught playing fast and loose with ballot boxes after it became apparent Obama was going to win New Mexico.

Sometimes the old guard becomes hideous in their attempts to cling to power.

9. Huckster is claiming there are "legal issues" apparently.
I wouldn't be surprised. The Repuke party up here plays dirty. They tried to steal the Governor's race in 2004, and they have been known to pull "Phil Parlock" style tricks, such as shooting up their own campaign headquarters and stealing laptops, and then blaming it on the Democrats. Hello? If you have sensitive info on a laptop why wouldn't you take it the fuck home?? Isn't that what they're made to do, be portable??
