Since we're being trivial... why can't Hillary pronounce the word "a"? |
|
My theory is that it's some attempt to sound precisely correct.
The word is normally pronounced far closer to "uh" than to the "aaii" she makes out of it. It makes her sound artificial and forced.
I'm just sayin'.

There's that, and the influence on her accent from her years in ARK and |
|
her NY accent and her southern accent when she's speaking in the South.

7. I honestly don't think so. |

I'm from the midwest. No one I know pronounces it like that, except some children who overpronounce when reading aloud.

How bout giving the SLIGHTEST bit of respect to the community you are part of by opting out of posting total bullshit threads like this. We have enough junk already. Next time use your head before clogging up GDP with this stupid shit.

I always get a good chuckle out of people who take the time to post about how much they hate the thread they're participating in, and then they stick around to see who responds to their response, and post again how much they hate the thread they're participating in.

I'm not having a great day, but I'm trying to laugh and keep things in perspective. It sounds like the other guy is very angry about something, and it probably has nothing to do with your thread.
(And I'm sure I'll be attacked shortly.)

with your second response. He's either biting his tongue (figuratively), or has gone to rant elsewhere.
Sorry about your day.

25. I've noticed that. In her defense, she usually catches it and corrects it. |
|
In fact, during one of the debates (I think it was the one at the Kodak Theater) she even made a little self-deprecating joke about how she gets it wrong. So she recognizes it. As a writer, I'm always trying to improve my grammar and I'm sometimes overly critical of other people's grammar, but people make mistakes. I'm sure I've probably made on in this response. :)
