Clinton raises $10 million since Super Tuesday

(CNN) – Hillary Clinton raised over $10 million from 100,000 donors since the February 5 Super Tuesday contests, her campaign announced Saturday, as Democratic voters in three states and the Virgin Islands weighed in on the presidential race.

In a conference call earlier this week, Clinton Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe suggested that reports the New York senator had decided to loan herself $5 million in January were the chief reason for the recent fundraising boost, saying many donors had been unaware the campaign was facing a cash crunch. He also said Clinton’s entire staff was receiving their full salaries, following reports some senior staffers had voluntarily offered to forgo pay for a month.

After the cash influx, the campaign began to air television ads in Nebraska and Washington State, and Maine....

UPDATE: Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in a Saturday statement that the Illinois senator's campaign had raised more in the month of February than the Clinton campaign had, though he did not reveal the exact amount. He added that more than 350,000 donors had contributed to the Obama campaign so far this year.

5. I think it's smart to NOT release
any totals until you come out and show how you broke LAST month's record breaking amount...with his momentum going forward Ohio and Texas will be in play and Pennsy too I hope

6. they are holding their cards close to the vest. As they should
If you release numbers that are trouncing clinton's fundraising, she and bill will just donate more to her campaign to make up the difference.

It is clear from there report today on the obama website that they have raised more than her gathered from more supporters, but they are not releasing the figures.

7. How many times will this be posted.

Let's see. When she pays herself back she has an extra 5 million to spend on the campaign.

That is great, but Obama most likely will have over 3o million this month and if Hillary supporters
keep hyping this story, he may well have more. I know it makes me want to give even more than I have.

Texas and Ohio are very expensive media states. She is going to need a lot more than 10 million to
compete. How successful will her fundraising continue to be, if she mostly loses primaries this month?

8. That's the big question BBM
John Edwards was saying before the Iowa caucuses that when you win a state (or STATES) as it is in Obama's case "the money comes in so fast you can't even count it". Momentum plays a major role in those numbers and Barack has the BIG MO right now

in thread titles, and it didn't come up. I see now that it does. Either there was a glitch in the system, or in my mind. Please accept my apology. I'll leave the thread up since it's been responded to.

As you may know, I don't post to make points, but to inform. I'm an Obama supporter, but I'm a neutral poster of articles.

On edit: My next post was "Obama's Super Saturday."

10. Thanks for your explantion.
I have seen that headline here more than a few times. Don't apologize. I think publicizing
her fundraising will only serve to enhance his.

His momentum is accelerating.

I expect he will do very well this month in fundraising as well as in primary victories.:)
