Why is Hillary stealing Obama's "Yes we can" mantra??? Desperate? |
|
I mean come on - her campaign staff should be creative enough to come up with something original (if she wants to sell the same message) without outright copying Obama. He's been using "yes we can" from Day 1. Say what you will, his message hasn't changed, Hillary's has.
I would think this tactic would put off more people than it would bring in. How can she be critical of her opponent and co-op his message?

19. I didn't realize the UFW were running for POTUS. |
|
We're talking about campaign slogans, and HRCs inability to come up with her own as it pertains to her POTUS campaign, or stick to her own message. It's one thing to adopt some principles, but it's another to morph into your competitors. She's done it with Obama, time and time again, and she's also doing it with Edwards message. Not adopting it, but trying to own it.
Goes back to the realization that she tried to run on her name alone, and not motivate or energize the base. That can be seen by the observations of her primary demographics. Female (a given - despite every woman I know is voting/has voted for Obama, including myself), and that she draws older voters who are less likely to want change, and like the status quo.

Obama has been using "yes we can" as a slogan for his presidential campaign since it began; he has not changed his message. Hillary has changed her message many times (to whatever seems to be working for someone else) and has now decided to outright copy her opponent's slogan.

by an electron microscope.
Obama may have been using the slogan since he bagan, but he still stole it. He didn't originate it any more than Clinton did. If anything, she has more right to it because its authors have endorsed her.
Your double standard, now, that's large enough to see a hundred miles away.

I know this might be a radical idea, but just maybe it's a calculated way of moving towards Obama, a joining of messages designed to bring the party to unity through use of a common language that works.
Maybe????
