Frankly, I'm sick of the crap Obama supporters throw at Hillary
Edited on Sun Feb-10-08 02:17 PM by DianeG5385
and I'm sick of the Puke tactics that have been used to"Win" and I'm sick of the demonization of Hillary to win, and I'm of the derision and contempt Obama supporters hold Hillary in and MOST of all, I'm sick of how the people she championed MOST over the last 35 years have turned on her as well. This must hurt her deeply. But she's a tough woman and knows it's politics, but still I am sick of it.

20. We We, who's we?? Us v. them??? Familiar divisive tactic
So before Obama, you had never heard of Hillary Clinton and her long record of service to children's causes and healthcare? Has she been faking it for 35 years??? You can support your candidate and acknowledge your opponents worthiness. If you can't, you should consider why.

49. actually its called a back and forth dialogue
I asked a legitamite question, do her years as first lady count? her years as a lawyer? the >1 year working with children? what years count? all of them? that alot of varied experiance and if her years as a lawyer count then most definatly so do Obamas. If its only actual time in a legislative seat then hillary does beat obama, but not by much and she has less then a decade of experiance that way.

62. First of all, we are not "Obamababies" or "Obamabozos" or
"O-bots" or "Obamessiahs" as you Hillary people her insist on calling us. We are Obama SUPPORTERS, period. Just as you are not "Hillhounds" or "Shrillbots" or "Hillbots", you are Hillary SUPPORTERS. By your very mention of that, you reduce your credibility to a juvenile level.

And you wanna talk RW talking points? Let's look at all of the shit Hillary has tried to smear Obama with, and the deliberate twisting and distorting of his record and sayings. She isn't innocent in any way, shape or form. You guys are just upset that she isn't cake-walking to the nomination, that it isn't going to be automatically handed to her, and that people have the actual nerve to vote for someone else. You ARE aware that this is a democracy, right?

She ran on "inevitability", in other words, that she would inevitably be the nominee and that she was entitled as such. That doesn't go over very well with people, no matter which party does it.

Pay them no mind, this is nothing more than sour grapes due to yesterday's voting results. They're just lashing out in anger and resentment because she won't automatically cake-walk to the nomination and because we don't believe she's automatically entitled to the presidency. I mean, how dare anyone else run against her and how dare people vote for anyone besides her? What do they think this is, anyway, a democracy?

26. Diane. I understand anybody's frustration in politics, but Jesus, that's what
makes it politics in the first place.

Your first choice and my first choice aren't going to be the nominees.

We're down to 3 candidates, and only 2 of them have any real shot. Gravel is great, IMO, but no one knows he's even alive.

There's shit being slung back and forth on these boards by the second. On all sides.

My post banks off Frank Rich's column this morning in the NYTIMES. Admittedly a hard-hitting piece, but then again, we're in politics.

All good wishes and good luck to Senator Clinton.

44. Bullshit, again! SHE is the one who started with the tactics
against him out of desperation and resentment that she actually had some competition for the nomination and it wasn't going to just be handed to her like she believes she's entitled to.

Obama has been quite gracious in not responding in kind to a lot of the tactics of her campaign and supporters. The drug use allegation, the attempts at racial divides, the deliberate twisting and distorting of his sayings and his record, SHE is the one who's done that.

Go make some wine, you've certainly got enough sour grapes for it.

59. Hi, rodeodance. Yes, I'm aware of it, have been for a while.
"Victimhood" is very much a part of Sen. Clinton's reactive strategy in this campaign since Iowa especially, however, and it isn't a very successful strategy.

She once led many of the states she's recently lost to Barack Obama by 20%, and those leads were eroded for other reasons than "sexist" attacks.

She needs to gather her campaign staff strategists together, beat the living crap out of every one of them, and then show them the door. She's MUCH better on her own as her own woman than she is with Carville and Penn and that bunch.

the night of the NH primary decrying NH results as racist because the polls were wrong. Bet you don't remember that. ANYTHING Bill and Hillary says will be construed as racist, it's such an easy tactic to take against people who have spent their entire careers promoting racial equality.

Besides, I am entitled to give my opinion of what I have observed over the last seven years of posting on this board, something I do sporadically.

Also, what's pretentious about someone giving an opinion you disagree with?? I can swoop in here as do others on all sides of the discussion. It's not like I expect any changes, I'm just sick of it.

And being untested on the national and world stage hardly counts as crap.

And not having specific plans in each specific area of governance hardly counts as crap.

Where are you getting your crap from?

60. So, you're saying people don't have the right to vote
for whom they want, that they must automatically vote for her? Because all they're doing is exercising their right to vote.

And I sure wouldn't blame people who were royally screwed by the new bankruptcy reform if they didn't vote for her as she did NOTHING to stop it and NOTHING for those who are most affected by it.

I SAID, I'm sick of the crap Obama supporters are throwing at Hillary, rather than discussing issues they are using Puke tactics. I might have voted for Obama but I chose Hillary and substance (whether you like it or NOT) and I made my decision when I voted on Super Tues!!! Go vote for your candidate. More power to you, I hope Hillary is the nominee.

39. Oh, what bullshit. Let me translate. What you're really saying
is that you're sick of the fact that Hillary actually has some competition, that she isn't going to cake-walk to the nomination like she and her supporters thought she would, that she's entitled to the presidency, damnit, and how dare anyone else stand in her way or vote for anyone else, and waaaaaaaaaaa, why can't she just be crowned the Queen, waaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Please. This is nothing more than sour grapes after her quite disappointing showing yesterday. People ain't buying what she's selling and it has nothing to do with any "attacks" by Obama supporters or anyone else. SHE is the one who's tried to smear him with unfair tactics, and who's gotten more and more petulant as he's done better and better in the polls and primaries/caucuses. The "drug" use smear, the racial stuff, twisting and distorting what he's said in her campaign literature, etc., etc. SHE is the one who's timed her "crying" (aka crocodile tears) to her maximum advantage. How much you wanna bet her campaign started that whole "cult" bullshit? Not to mention that her supporters on here have referred to us as "Obamababies, Obamabozos, O-bots, Obamessiahs", etc. Please.

And listen-not everyone who doesn't support her is automatically a "sexist", I am fucking SICK AND TIRED of that. Can't tell you how many times I've been called a self-hating misogynist simply because I am not a supporter of her candidacy. It has NOTHING to do with her being a woman, and everything to do with her policies, actions, and votes. I would love nothing more than to see a woman president before I die, believe me. But not just any woman just to have a woman president.

The Clintons hurt blacks with their shitty trade deals that sent good jobs overseas, and they can't take credit for civil rights laws that they had nothing to do with in the first place.

Sorry, but the Clintons simply don't deserve to be entitled to an endless buffet of unquestioning political support from blacks at the expense of all other candidates.

And if you think they do, then you and they can go fly a kite.

The issues appear to lie somewhere beyond Cook County, IMO, and have to do with the appeal of Senator Obama and the campaign strategy of Senator Clinton.

141. Well, well...look at diane. She's sick of
"the crap" and we should bow down to diane because we don't want her to be sick anymore. Just because hilary is the pro war, corporate candidate who's been lying through her teeth this whole freakshow of campaign of her's and bil's(I won't even get into bil's lying here)..we're not allowed to say anything because it might upset diane. So glad you let us know how you feel, diane. I'll immediately stop giving out the facts about my senator who voted for the IWR and the vile kyl-lieman bill..so she can get all the votes she needs under pretense.

143. Right on.
I'm voting for Obama, but I'll hold my nose when I walk into the booth to avoid the stench of other Obama supporters. A most foul breed.

On a separate note, no one owes HRC their support. Not even people she has "championed".

149. What are you smoking?
70% of the threads on here try to bash Barack! That's why I joined, I got sick of it. Plus, some of you folks, with all respect, need to get the opinion of a Blue Dog Democrat from a very red state. The kind of red states that Barack is winning...
