One man one vote, a direct democracy.
For the House, the Senate, the White House.

No delegates, no superdelegates, no electoral college.

The most votes wins the WH, a direct democracy, the will of the people.

Tell me ....why not ?

8. we are a Representative Republic. we elect reps to do our bidding
if we were a true democracy we the people would vote for each item and there would be no congress, supreme court, or president. It would be majority mob rule.

9. because large population centers would run the country
and you would eventually be facing a rural and sub-urban insurgency.

might be fun, though.

16. it doesn't... the idea is to make sure all regions are equally represented
do you think the states with smaller populations would accept being run over constantly? or accept being taxed? or register for the draft or join the Army?

the thing that got this whole USA thing kicked off was a bunch of people who felt that they weren't being fairly represented.

17. Add this, and I'm with you:
100% public financing. No outside campaigning, or campaign $$.

A fairness doctrine and fully equal air time.

All polls related to campaigns and elections banned.

All primary votes counted on the same day, with no results released from anywhere until the last polls close on the final primary.
