Poll question: Do you think that you're smarter/ more enlightened than the average Democratic voter?
I trust my fellow Democrats. But it seems like a lot of people here do not.

Do you think that you're smarter/ more enlightened than the average Democratic voter?

4. I think I am more involved than the average voter and therefore better informed about the issues
Politics is a hobby of mine, so I know more about it than people who aren't involved. Most people aren't as interested -- they are busy dealing with other aspects of their lives and/or turned off by politics and politicians.

9. I didn't know what to pick, so I didn't vote for anything.
I don't think I'm smarter... I'm not very arrogant. I do think I'm much more informed than your average voter, though. I also think that personally, I've had a unique variety of life experience to cull from.

11. Since I have
an IQ in the top 1% and three degrees, I do think I'm smarter than a lot of democrats. I'm definitely smarter than all republicans

Neither of the two front runners represent me or my views. I'm way to the left of all but Mike Gravel.

If I had to choose between Obama or Clinton (who I believe are very similar on most issues) because my primary might actually matter, I'd probably vote Clinton for a few reasons. She doesn't think I need to be "cured" -- she talks about accepting us GLBTQ folk rather than "tolerating" us as you tolerate something you don't like, and I like her personally. Having met Barack, I didn't like him - at all. But that was before he was running for president and had to be nice to people.

I don't know how I'm going to vote. Maybe I'll write in Gore. Or I'll still vote for Edwards.

Just don't know yet. The one thing I *do* know is that Obama isn't getting my vote, either of my parents votes or my brother's vote. He *might* get my sister's vote.

RI DEM primary will typically only have around 15,000 voters so my vote might actually count for something.

14. Impressive... but if you do a write-in on election day
you'll be supporting the meme that the people with high IQs lack common sense.

13. It is not an issue of being "smarter," but of being better informed
Most voters had not kept up with the news. Polls show that nearly a majority of Americans still believe Iraq was involved on 9-11.

Sometimes the people who think they are the smartest are in truth the dumbest.
