Clinton seeks to cast herself as underdog vs Obama
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sen. Hillary Clinton, viewed last year as virtually unstoppable in her bid to become the U.S. Democratic presidential nominee, is now seeking to portray herself as the underdog against rival Sen. Barack Obama.

The Clinton campaign has labeled the Illinois senator the "establishment" candidate as she tries to wrest from him the message of a vow to bring change to Washington.

Is it possible for her to reinvent herself this late in the game?

5. Going from being 'inevitable' to being in serious trouble doesn't make you the 'underdog'
It means you're losing.

6. Her campaign plan was to have this wrapped up by Super Tuesday.
Now she's trying to figure out what to do.

7. She IS the underdog at this point...Obama is in the driver's seat...
Assuming he wins the Chesapeake primaries, Obama really is the frontrunner in a very real way. That plus winning tonight gives him real momentum into next week's states.

At this point, Hillary might be stuck with the Rudy strategy...

11. LOL! Now she's an "insurgent" candidate--the only one equipped with
a political machine that dominated the party since the early 90's, but...hey, whatever.

14. What "stuff"? This is an article from Yahoo I saw. It deals with how
Clinton is planning to manage her campaign. I made no value judgment. Please define "stuff"?

13. She IS the underdog now, but she started out as "inevitable" so
actually that makes her campaign look bungled/failed. That's a bit different
than starting as an underdog.

And trying to say she'll change Washington is laughable. She's been a fixture there for years.
She has, up to this point, been saying she knows how to "get things done" within the current
system. That would be a complete turnaround.

18. hmmm
she can 100% prove he's the establishment candidate by calling her super delegates and telling them to vote for him.

Who else is the establishment, if it's not senator's, congressmen & party insiders. Yet they (as of now) are favoring her.

So i again call BS on this crap from the Clinton campaign.
