I just went to an Obama fundraiser in Madison, WI
And it was fun because we have such great people here. Obama is coming to town tomorrow. But I have to tell you that this was mostly political people so I know for a fact that for at least half of us he was not our first choice. You could not tell that from the enthusiasm. The bitterness of losing Kucinich and Edwards was not visible. This was not a cult following, this was people from the various camps pulling together for the man of the hour, because he is the one we believe will end the war.

John Nichols and Congresswoman Gwen Moore of Milwaukee were two of our cheerleaders... our primary is Tuesday, February 19, and it matters. Both Clinton and Obama are coming for a pricey event in Milwaukee next weekend.

6. Enjoy~!
I am going to stay home and listen on our local Air America- I just heard they will carry it. Parking is 2 blocks away, speakers don't start until 8. But at least I will hear him. And when he comes for the huge rally right before he wins the election, I will be volunteering in the front!

8. I suggest you get there early. Seattles Key arena was overflow and....
thousands could not get in, but they got to listen at an area nearby and that crowd was just as energized I was told by man in his 60's who was there. And that was 11 am on a friday!!!!

13. 2 hours , pack a lunch and expect to have a great time....Obama at ...
the Key noticed a women was getting faint and stopped everything to make she had water and EMT if she needed it, is so aware of his surroundings it is impressive. She probably skipped breakfast and got that classic low blood sugar pasty look. I don't know why my last post entered twice, hope this one doesn't!

15. He did the same thing 3 times when he came to Madison in October
He then said that he's really knocking them off their feet.

5. John Nichols has good insight..
I found this on his blog today..interesting..

<snip>
Barack Obama had planned to veer off the "Potomac Primary" campaign trail after his last rally in Baltimore tonight and fly to Chapel Hill for a private meeting with John Edwards. Scheduling conflicts scrapped that scheme, but count on Obama to make a meeting happen in short order.

Obama wants the former North Carolina senator's endorsement. Badly.

Why? Check this out:

20. I wish there were a free event in the Milwaukee area
Cause I'd find a way to go. But $100 bucks for that event is a bit too much. I'd rather give it to the Obama campaign.

(Democratic Party of Wisconsin) and the money goes to them.
