Politicians who only associate themselves with
pure people, who've never made a dime off somebody who's defended a scumbag, who never compromise, who never forget a slight, who portray themselves as moral leaders, who refuse to cut a deal on princple... are called losers.

Honestly, do people here have NO sense of history? No understanding of politics? If Obama thinks he needs Edwards to get elected, he'll do what it takes. So will Clinton. Do you know what Johnson and Kennedy said about each other in '60?

Do you think anybody runs for President out of pure moral drive? Of course not - they all think they're superior to everybody else and want to prove it. And not morally superior - politically superior.

Nobody reluctantly runs for President. They do it because they have huge egos and love to compete.
