Didn't get it right on day one
Didn't get the war right on 'Day One'

Didn't get Bill's role (or control of) right on 'Day One'

Didn't get the right campaign management in place on 'Day One'

Just when is all of this great experience going to kick in?

1. She got it on Day One ... she was bright enough to propel the
guy she was dating to marry her. She was still propelling this very intelligent guy from Hope, Arkansas into a Gov position, and, then finally, she pushed him with all of his faults into the White House. Now, finally, it is time for this woman to take command of her White House.

2. Um... way to make Hillary out to be a conniving gold digger....
I'm not a Hill fan, but that's.... pushing the boundary of sexism right there. :(

11. I understood what you were saying
I'm a late boomer, we were the first generation of women that actually had a chance to attend college en masse. Women ten years older than me that didn't get married right after high-school had three choices secretary, nurse, or teacher. Women that age, made the best of it, the worked to help their husbands advance. I bet if you ask Bill, you'd find that Hillary was a DRIVING force behind many of his early successes.

I'm voting for Obama because I think he has the same progressive values that Hillary has but I think he'll be best able to inspire the country in the tough economic times we're likely to be facing soon.

It pisses me off to hear other Obama supporters denigrate the work that Hillary has done for Bill. If she wins the nomination, I'll vote for her and I won't be holding my nose.

(reposting this from the other 'experience' thread *sigh*)

6. Its hard for folks to let go when they have been so committed to their
candidate and there is no good news to hang your coat on. My post was not meant to antagonize either but to simply point out that Obama has been right on Day One a lot.

I keep waiting for him to make a misstep and he has such sure footing.

7. However, we have to look at how many issues he's been "present"
on. I certainly don't intend to antagonize; however, I want substance, not just lately style. I live in Ohio ... tell me why I should vote for Obama over Clinton in my primary (not caucas). And no, don't tell me to go to his website ... the Obama people are calling us lazy ... well, many people don't have internet access to his website and therefore don't know what his positions and plans are ... my elderly parents for example.

10. Well if you want to waste time with that you can but as it has
been carefully explained in detail the reason that legislators vote "present" is to record a "yes" on the vote they have objections with something significant that is in the legislation. Obama voted "present" in about 3% of his votes and it includes legislation that he sponsored but had some objections to after significant ammendments were added.

13. on those present votes...
"We at Planned Parenthood view those as leadership votes," Pam Sutherland, the president and CEO of the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council, told ABC News. "We worked with him specifically on his strategy. The Republicans were in control of the Illinois Senate at the time. They loved to hold votes on 'partial birth' and 'born alive'. They put these bills out all the time . . . because they wanted to pigeonhole Democrats."

"He came to me and said: 'My members are being attacked. We need to figure out a way to protect members and to protect women,'" said Sutherland in recounting her conversation with Obama. "A 'present' vote was hard to pigeonhole which is exactly what Obama wanted."

It actually impressed me that he went to planned parenthood to find out what the best course of action might be...
