Randi Rhodes is putting words in Hillary's mouth, claiming she said things she did not say (such as demands that NBC fire Shuster) in order to portray Shuster as a martyr to Queen Hillary's wrath, while others at DU, even further gone into the depths of paranoia say "Oh, no. She is trying to steal our
victimhood. But we won't let her have it. No, it's ours. We worked hard for it. No one is going to take it away."
Meanwhile, another poster has dredged up every GOP slanted story that Shuster has ever covered in an attempt to portray him as John McCain's errand boy from Arkansas, a combination minor devil and GOP operative planted by Karl Rove at MSNBC years ago for the sole purpose of springing into action
now to throw Hillary off her stride.
Can we talk?
Anyone looking in here from the outside would conclude that we are all a bunch of raving loonies. I am actually a resident of this madhouse, and I am beginning to wonder if maybe we all need to take a break and get some fresh air and do something non election related, like play with our pets or take a walk or see a movie. Maybe buy a photo album and organize all the pictures we have collected in a box. Try to remember that we have friends whose names are not Barack and Michelle and Hillary and Bill.
David Shuster is not a victim of Hillary Clinton's Arkansas mafia. She did not paralyze him with her laser beam eyes, force him to use the p word, and then force MSNBC to suspend him. MSNBC decided to over react and suspend him, probably because Joe Scarborough was already pissed at him and also because MSNBC knew that it was in the hot seat over Tweety's ongoing sexist attacks and suspending Shuster was easier than canceling
Hardball . Hillary probably told NBC that it was not enough, because it was not enough----punishment for Tweety.
David Shuster is not a Republican operative. If he was, he would not have done such a good job covering the Scooter Libby trial or the Plame affair. He would not have asked the GOP Congresswoman the question that revealed her hypocrisy about US combat deaths in Iraq in 2006.
Got it?
Shuster is not a martyr (though his bosses are treating him badly).
Shuster is not a GOP operative (though he should have thought twice before using the p word in reference to a young woman).
However, Democratic Underground looks like a horse's ass when it moves the never ending
Hillary-Obama Flame War onto the battle ground of David Shuster's journalistic career.
