I predict that Wisconsin will be the state where he |
|
finally breaks through with the blue collar, beer drinking Democrats! The pundits keep saying how he lacks support with that demographic. I think when he does those town hall meetings he will reach out to them and they will realize he is the real deal. Then the media would be shocked that they have been proved wrong once again. They said he did not have a chance. They said he would not have the money. They said he would never win white votes. They said he could not win Hispanic votes. He has proved them wrong every single time and I look forward to seeing him shock the hell out of them again.

In fact, before I go to his rally, I may down a few in protest of the media.

5. LOL, Wisconsin has a few chardonny drinkers, but lots and lots |
|
of Spotted Cow.
Up here beer is just another form of bottled water...safe and hygenic because it's pasteurized! How is it not possible to shake 10 hands and find that 8 of them have that steely grip developed by lives involving beer mugs?
The real test of the candidates used by Wisconsinites around here is Walleye vs Whitefish for the Friday nite fish fry.
Would I vote for a person who eats Cod or a person who thinks there is an 'L' sound in Milwaukee? Never

Anti-freeze comes in boxes, very well suited for the sofa-refrigerator.

6. That would be sweet. Wisconsin is where Bill put it away in '92 |
|
I worked on Jerry Brown's campaign in Madison. Hillary played the attack-dog role that time, going around the state smearing Jerry while Bill went golfing at an all-white country club.
They ended up winning the state and Brown dropped out soon after.

16. Why are you making comparisons between now and 1992 when there isn't any relevance? |
|
First, Wisconsin's primary in 1992 was held April 7th not February 19th. Second, who was left? Brown? How many delegates did Clinton and Brown have at that point? Schedule of 1992 primaries from Congressional Quarterly’s Presidential Elections, 1789-1996 February 10: Iowa February 18: New Hampshire February 25: South Dakota March 3: Colorado, Georgia, Maryland; also Minnesota, Idaho caucuses March 7: South Carolina March 10: Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, plus caucuses in Hawaii, Missouri, Delaware March 17: Illinois, Michigan March 24: Connecticut April 7: Kansas, Minnesota , New York (Democrats), Wisconsin April 28: Pennsylvania May 5: DC, Indiana, North Carolina May 12: Nebraska, West Virginia May 19: Oregon, Washington May 26: Arkansas, Idaho , Kentucky June 2: Alabama, California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio June 9: North Dakota

8. The Main Stream Media doesn't give a whit about being 'proven wrong' |
|
The MSM wants a close race to draw bigger audiences and sell more advertising.
And then to top it all, the MSM collects even more advertising dollar$ when people come on the talk shows to demonstrate just how wrong they were proven to be! It is win - win for the media.
Obama is even-up in the race not to spite the media, he is even-up because of the media.
Hilary will still win, and Obama will be VP and set up for a run an being President in 2016.

11. Keep an eye on Northeast Wisconsin |
|
Rep. Obey endorsed Obama last week. He has lots of sway in the northern part of the state, and a strong support base. This could be key.

12. Wisconsin IS the key now |
|
I think it hinges on Wisconsin.. There is a 2 week gap between Wisconsin and Texas/Ohio.. If by that time Obama has swept every primary since Super Tuesday he will probably pass Hillary in both Texas and Ohio .. he will become an unstoppable tidal wave.. Hillary MUST go all out to win Wisconsin.. ANY win would be nice, but a 5%+ win would stop Obamas momentum long enough to allow Clinton wins in Texas/Ohio to reverse it.. But I do not think Hillary can win Wisconsin any more, espically after todays Potomic sweeps.. ( she would have to hold Obama to under 55% in both MD and VA to make any kind of claim of the race tighen up.. and actually she would probaly have to win 1.. which seems very unlikely)...

13. Well, she left the state to head to Texas? Chelsea might still be there |
|
Perhaps she knows Wisconsin could go either way so that is why she is focusing on Texas. I might have to backtrack on Obama closing the gap on TV. I did not realize that 50% of the people voting there are Latino. If he could pick some of those off perhaps he could keep it close. At least he has the time to make his way through the state though. It should be interesting to see what happens. He is not blowing off Wisconsin so he is headed there for townhalls all across the state. Then I'm sure he will divide the next weeks between Texas and Ohio.............

17. watch out for the crossover vote |
|
Open primary here and Wisconsin rethuglicans are sure to cast a ballot for Billary in the primary since mccain locked up the gop thang. Most of them probably don't want to really vote for mccain anyway, and this will be a form of protest.
