I get to vote today..and I'm excited to do so!
A confession..I can't remember the last primary I voted in, because it never felt like I really had an influence in the matter. But this year is different. Such a close and exciting race. Yes, my original choice is no longer in it, but I still think its wonderful that I feel like I have a real say. The media in this area are right on the button when they say its been a long time since this area has had such an importance.
In fact two candidates have visited my alma mater of the University of Maryland in the last few days, Huckabee and Obama. Interestingly enough it seemed Huckabee's visit was more like a short press conference in a regular conference room. While Obama was at the Comcast Centre (the basketball arena) and filled it full up. Hmmmm. True blue Maryland, indeed.
Well, I hope all my fellow Dems in the Chesapeake primary region vote today. Go make your voices heard!

:)

1. corporate sell-out!
(just kidding) :)

Thanks for your post. If I was eligible to vote in US elections, I'd have a difficult time choosing between Clinton and Obama.

3. I would call you a Corporate Sellout
but that would be so predictable.

4. i don't know what to do.
I'm really torn. I can't bring myself to cast a vote for either one of them. I'll vote for whoever gets the Dem nomination in November, but as far as this primary is concerned, I don't think I care who wins. Maybe I should sit this one out. Well, polls close at 8pm so I have all day to think it over.

6. Curious...How long did you wait?
It was a half and hour for me. Which surprised me. I thought there might be a line, but not quite that long...
BTW, if the exit polls are screwed up you can blame me, since I decided to participate for once....

11. There were open booths when I voted this morning.
I didn't hit the polls until about 8:15, so I probably missed the biggest rush. I pretty much walked in and voted. There was just a light steady stream of people coming in.

"Nice post, Zorn!"

12. Oh, I definately exercised my right to vote. I'm just concerned
that the Diebold machine may not have counted my vote or tabulated for the wrong candidate/delegates.
